But we've got your back. Our Water Warriors Training is designed to walk you through the complex stuff, break down the issues we all care about, and build your water advocacy toolkit.
Trainings occur annually, October - December with paid slots available to frontline community members. No prior Aquifer knowledge is required - just a passion for protecting your environment and community!
Catch us in your feed every week as we raise awareness about the Memphis Sand Aquifer and share information about current issues, water resources, and groundwater science.
Plus, once a quarter we’ll host a happy hour to give you a chance to connect with POA staff & featured guests.
We invite you, whether a community stakeholder, journalist, politician, or a concerned citizen, on a driving tour of contaminated sites in Shelby County. We connect with frontline community members to showcase stories of legacy pollution and see where positive action can be taken.
Join us through North Memphis visiting the North Hollywood Dump, Velsicol Chemical and Cypress Creek, and Firestone. Or through South Memphis visiting TVA Coal Ash Ponds, Valero, the Memphis Defense Depot, and Former Custom Cleaners.

POA is coalition-building in East Shelby, Tipton, Fayette, and Haywood Counties to build water advocacy throughout our Aquifer’s vulnerable Recharge Zone.
To start, we've assembled a West TN H2O Delegation, a group of water stakeholders who assemble every quarter. We talk about water issues and concerns, share resources, and strategize together.
